About the author - Arthur Edward Waite book "The Illustrated Key to the Tarot"
Arthur Edward Waite (October 2, 1857 - May 19, 1942) - a famous British mystic, occultist, a mason who wrote many authoritative works on occult and esoteric subjects, as well as co-author Taro Ryder-Waite. His biographer, R. A. Gilbert, wrote: "The name of Wait remained, because he was the first to try to systematically study the history of Western occultism, showing it as a spiritual tradition, and not as part of a protoscience or as a religious anomaly."
Arthur Waite (1857-1942) is one of the greatest connoisseurs of the occult sciences of his time, the author of dozens of printed works, a prominent member of several esoteric communities. In history, he entered mainly as the creator of the world's most popular deck of tarot cards. In this book, the symbolism and the prophetic values of the Ryder-Waite Tarot cards (named after the publisher and developer) are explained by Waite himself.
Thus, this is the primary source, which everyone needs to study, who are going to use tarot cards (and not only Waytics) for divination, meditation and magical work.
