Biotin 0.1% Toskani B-Hydroxin
Keeps hair and nails in good condition
Indications
- Brittle hair and alopecia
- Seborrheic dermatitis and dry eczema (in this case, it can be mixed with dexanil)
Biotin (vitamin B8) is necessary for the effective functioning of enzymes that carry carboxyl units and fix carbon dioxide. It is important for various metabolic functions, including gluconeogenesis, lipogenesis, fatty acid biosynthesis, propionate metabolism, and branched-chain amino acid catabolism.
With poor nutritional status, stress, or seasonal changes, nutrient deficiencies in the cells that make up the root of the hair and nails can cause weakness or even hair loss. Biotin's metabolic functions act as a revitalizing and strengthening factor in these cells, giving strength and enhancing their appearance.
Biotin deficiency can manifest as acne, seborrheic eczema, acrodynia (a disorder that often occurs in childhood and is characterized by pain in the extremities, tachycardia, vasomotor and sweating), brittle nails, erythroderma (a skin disease mainly characterized by redness), or exfoliative dermatitis.
