Description
Lacti Derm peeling uses L-form lactic acid, which is biologically significant for living organisms and is absolutely physiological for the skin and is a component of the natural moisturizing factor.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS - lactic acid 70% - pH 1.4
Peeling properties:
- Moisturizing effect - The natural moisturizing factor is localized exclusively in the stratum corneum, concentrates around the corneocytes and creates an additional water shell. In addition to lactic acid (10%), NMF contains free amino acids (about 48%) and their derivative - pyroglutamic acid (10%), as well as urea (about 8%) and inorganic ions (5%) such as potassium, sodium and calcium. These are low-molecular substances with small molecule sizes that accumulate and bind water even at relatively low atmospheric humidity.
- Exfoliating action - When using a concentrated solution of lactic acid, its molecule quickly penetrates the stratum corneum, retains and attracts water. As a result of the accumulation of water in the intercellular spaces, the adhesion between the corneocytes weakens and, as a consequence, exfoliation occurs.
- Lightening action - By directly inhibiting tyrosinase, NMF suppresses melanin synthesis, enhances the penetration of other whitening agents (kojic acid, ubiquinone), and directly induces cell turnover, which improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation and hyperkeratosis.
- Antioxidant action - Lactic acid stimulates the biosynthesis of ceramides in the granular layer and improves the process of assembling the lipid barrier in the lower layers of the stratum corneum, thereby strengthening the barrier properties of the skin. So, if sensitive skin often has a weakened barrier, then such physiological "strengthening" of the barrier function will be very useful.
