Taro Oswald Wirth Oswald Wirth Tarot
In the 19th century, in France, in the community of two occultists Oswald Wirth and Stanislav Gweit, the disciples of Eliphas Levi, a new deck appeared that accumulated all the philosophical and kabbalistic views of the French occult school of that time. Oswald Wirth - the famous Swiss Kabbalist. He was known for his occult works and as a practicing magnetizer. Using the symbolism of Tarot Eliphas Levi and on the basis of the classic Marseille Tarot Wirth developed his own system. In 1889 the first part of the deck appeared - 22 Senior Arcana. They were executed by hand and came out in a circulation of just one hundred copies. Oswald Wirth built a set of astrological attributes based on the celestial constellations. In his book "Tarot Mages", Oswald Wirth establishes the connection of twenty-two Great Arcana and ten Sephiroth of the Tree of Life, based on the hematric reduction of twenty-two Tarot numbers. For the first time Oswald Wirth's deck was printed in France in 1927. A variant of the classic Marseille Tarot.
