African tarot african tarot
The violent images of the African Tarot are largely based on the African experience, depicted in the style of primitive art. Artist Marina Romito rethought standard Ryder-Waite images with symbols inspired by the South African indigenous culture to create an accessible, uplifting deck. By evoking universal children's emotions, African Tarot can help you explore your true inner nature.
The reverse map design is inspired by the culture of Shagan (one of the indigenous ethnic groups in South Africa). The turtle depicted on the shirt of the cards symbolizes the slow coming of justice.
The miniature deck is perfect for small hands.
Included is a 55-page booklet, which includes individual map values, as well as card combinations.
Marina Romito has a diploma in philosophy, but first of all she is a seeker of greater global harmony and truth. She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa.
