Institut Esthederm Intensive Retinol - care for aging and problem skin
A line of high vitamin A skin care products specifically designed to treat and prevent signs of extrinsic skin aging, including deep wrinkles, micro-relief damage and skin tightening. It is also recommended for the treatment of oily skin, acne and post-acne in order to correct and prevent inflammation.
Active Ingredients:
Vitamin A is a generic term for a group of similar compounds called retinoids. The main form of vitamin A in the human body are: retinol, retinal, retinolic acid and retinol phosphate ester. Retinol is not synthesized by the body on its own and, accordingly, enters the body with food or is administered in the form of drugs.
Retinol accelerates the renewal of the epidermis and makes the skin softer and stronger.
After a few days of use:
- Acceleration of exfoliation of the upper layer of cells by weakening intercellular connections. The surface of the skin is smoothed, pigmentary irregularities are reduced.
After 2-4 weeks:
- Increased basal cell division and migration in the stratum corneum as a result of thickening of the epidermis. Restoration of cellular metabolism.
Retinol has a preventive and curative effect on the quality of the dermis:
- inhibition of the destruction of collagenase and matrix metalloproteinases, which occurs under the influence of UV radiation;
- stimulation of the synthesis of collagen type 1 and glycosaminoglycans;
- elimination of wrinkles, smoothing, remaining for a long time (more than one month). Acting simultaneously on the dermis and epidermis, retinol minimizes the signs of external aging (fine and deep wrinkles, microrelief changes), and the skin looks smoother, with an even radiant tone.
Valuable oils:
- Limnantes seed oil: rich in fatty acids (eicosenoic, erucic, docosadienoic acid). Their high degree of hydrophobicity as well as high molecular stability strengthen the skin's permeability barrier.
- Apricot Kernel Oil: Contains essential fatty acids (omega-6 and -9), provitamin A and vitamin E (strong antioxidant). Nourishes and moisturizes the skin, makes it soft and revitalizes.
- Papyrus Oil: Rich in insoluble fatty acids, including oleic acid (Omega-9). The high concentration of tocopherol provides antioxidant protection. These oils optimize retinol absorption and have organoleptic characteristics ideal for cosmetic applications.
